Good time to buy an XJ220, I reckon. They bottomed out a while back, and the price curve's starting to steepen now.
Also, is that a custom SEC cabrio?

The description of the SEC says:
''This one was at the time built in America and is controlled electrically.''
So either this is a US only car, and was imported, or this is converted in America.

If only it was RHD, I know someone who'd be all over it.

For that price?

I don't know how many they made, but if it's as good as it looks, that's a great investment car - if it was RHD, at least. £20k is about what the very best SECs and SLs of that age go for these days, so the price isn't outlandish. I'd buy it myself if I had that kind of spare cash. You'd be hard pressed to lose money on it over a few years. I don't know that it'll ever be worth what the 220 A convertible is worth, but it has plenty of room below that for a big pricetag.
Sadly, the Buick's more my kind of price-range. Good time to buy that, too. Give it another few years and it'll be about the last big old American wagon in Europe, so it's only going up in value if you keep it running.

I personally would go for the Datsun Silvia. I have not ever seen that car on the road.
It doesn't look really great, but I like it
